About the 2nd Vietnamese New Year

The Vietnamese Lunar New Year is actually Feb 1st, 2022 introducing the Year of the Tiger. The holiday is celebrated over 5 days beginning January 31 through Feb 4th. Locally there may be a longer celebration, about 20 days beginning January 25th and continuing through February 15th.

Bright colors will bring good fortune and wonder traditional foods will once again be served as the Year of the Tiger is celebrated.

Luck, Tradition & The New Year Around the World

If you are ever the optimist, then you’ll like this tradition from Columbia. Grab a suitcase, empty or full, doesn’t matter. Carry it around for a bit to set yourself up for some excitement and maybe even daring adventures in the coming year.

Form Italy, 12 grapes at midnight – each time the bell tolls! Luck for each month of the coming year. Seeing if you can even get to 5 grapes in a row down that quickly would seem like a challenge! A dozen?
